INSTRUCTIONS TO RESET YOUR
DEFAULT MUSIC PLAYER TO
WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER

Using Windows Explorer, find an MP3
file on your computer.
(Click for an alternate method)
After you have found the file, right click on the file and
select 'Open With'
Select 'Windows Media Player' if it available.

If it is not on the list, select 'Choose Program' from the
popup menu.
In the 'Open With' dialog box, select 'Windows Media Player'

In the dialog box, also click 'Always use the selected program
to open this kind of file'. This will make the selected
application the default for this file type.

If the application is not listed at all, you can browse for the
application by clicking on the 'Browse' button. Select the
'Windows Media Player' directory in 'Program Files', and click
on the file 'wmplayer.exe', then click 'Open'.

In the 'Open With' dialog box, click 'Always use the selected
program to open this kind of file'. This will make the selected
application the default for this file type.

Alternate Method:
Richt click on the Start button and select Explore to open
Windows Explorer
Then click on Tools -> Folder Options
Click on the File Types tab.

Then
select MP3 and in the lower 'Details' area, look at the
program that the file type opens with. If this is not set to
Windows Media Player, click the Change... button and find
Windows Media Player

If it's
not listed, click on Browse.
Find
the Windows Media player directory in Program Files and select
the file wmplayer.exe.)
Then
repeat the process with the file type M3U.
