Year-End Financial Notes
IRS statements for contributions to St. Elizabeth’s are mailed each year by late January. If you have any questions about your statement, kindly contact Financial Administrator Marcia Bakshi in the Church Office (201-444-2299 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
Kindly write “201_Pledge” in the memo area of your check. Note that any contributions made now toward completion of a prior year's pledge will be included in your charitable donations receipt provided for the present year, even though the payment will be credited to last year’s pledge.
Issuing automatic pledge payments through your bank:
If you pay your household bills through your bank’s online bill payment service, you may like to make your pledge payments to St. Elizabeth’s Church in the same way. Simply set up St. Elizabeth’s Church as the payee, with 169 Fairmount Road, Ridgewood NJ 07450 as the Payee Address and 201-444-2299 as the payee telephone number. For Account Number, please enter “Pledge” followed by your offering envelope number. You can set it up so that a payment (i.e., pledge contribution) is issued once a month on, say, the 15th of the month, once per quarter, or at whatever interval your bill payment service allows. It is a good way to keep up with your pledge, though you may miss the symbolic gesture of putting an offering into the plate every week. Some people do both: they issue automatic payments to cover most of their pledge and use their offering envelopes to put the remainder in the offering plate on Sunday mornings.
Also, here are a few things you can do to ensure that your contributions are allocated correctly:
1) Write in the memo area of the check what the payment is for, e.g., Pledge, Progressive Dinner, Outreach Auction, etc. Even if you issue your checks through an online banking service, please use the memo area to let us know what the payment is for.
2) If you mail a payment to the church, please do not send it to John Hartnett’s attention, but rather to the attention of Marcia Bakshi.
